Long before El Cardonal Eco Villas became a reality, it was simply a dream inspired by countless family trips to Baja California Sur.

For many years, my family and I returned to this incredible peninsula, discovering its breathtaking landscapes, the endless beauty of the Sea of Cortez, the serenity of the desert, and the genuine warmth of the people who call this place home. Each visit left us with unforgettable memories and a growing desire to one day have a place of our own in this extraordinary corner of Mexico.

That dream eventually found its home in Cabo del Este.

I always imagined creating a peaceful retreat where my family and friends could gather, disconnect from everyday life, and embrace the slower rhythm that makes Baja so special. I also envisioned it as the place where I would someday begin a new chapter of life after my professional career—a place to enjoy nature, simplicity, and meaningful moments.

Everything changed when a family member invited me to visit the small community of El Cardonal and the nearby development of San Isidro, where he had purchased a lot. From the moment I arrived, I knew I had found exactly what I had been searching for. The untouched landscapes, the tranquility, the authenticity of the community, and the connection between the desert and the sea captured my heart. Shortly afterward, I decided to invest in my own piece of this remarkable place.

As the project evolved, I wanted it to reflect not only my love for Baja, but also my commitment to sustainability. Rather than building a conventional house, I chose to transform recycled shipping containers into modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed villas. Giving these structures a second life became the foundation of a project that embraces eco-conscious living while providing the comfort and quality today’s travelers expect.

Originally, these villas were meant to become our family’s second home—a place to create memories together. But over time, another idea emerged: why not share this experience with others?

That vision gave birth to El Cardonal Eco Villas, a boutique collection of eco-friendly villas created for travelers seeking authenticity, tranquility, adventure, and a deeper connection with nature. At the same time, this project became part of my long-term vision: building a sustainable business that supports my future retirement while creating unforgettable experiences for every guest who visits.

This journey is only beginning.

Our vision extends far beyond providing exceptional accommodations. We are gradually creating a destination where guests can fully experience everything that makes Cabo del Este unique. In the coming years, we plan to introduce exclusive experiences including ATV and RZR rentals, kayaking, snorkeling equipment, and curated outdoor adventures designed exclusively for our guests, allowing them to explore the extraordinary landscapes of Baja California Sur in a meaningful and responsible way.
